Advise before go ahead 1.6 psa diesel

Postby Wod » Sat Dec 13, 2014 2:22 am

Ok so the ecu is an edc16c34 (Ford),
I have read into how the ecu uses map parameters and uses others to calculate main factors before the smoke and torque limiters.
Now I know theyr is a common fault with loss of injector codes?,
If I use the kess V2 Eu, do I read the injectors before the map flash? Or do I read injectors after the flash read?

Also in regards to bdm100, how do I edit the file? I hear that ecu titanium does not open this and I am not familiar with winols, can I use winols to convert the file into ecm format?
I wish not to pay for a remap, I want to learn with subtle adjustments
Thank you for the help

Do you mean have a remap and then read then study the difference?
I know my torque limit, boost limit and injector cycle load

It's a diesel and Its edc16 I don't intent to change injector timing just the basics,

I'm looking for advise on the above,
Thanks

the psa 1.6 hdi engine sometimes when you do a flash, they loose injector codes. You can put them back using a obd diagnostic tool like autocom. The codes are on the top of the injectors (number 1 is on the side of the gearbox).

In a peugeot 206 1.6 hdi once when i did a flash i hade to conect a original diagnostic tool to make a telecodification, because the ecu lost all data regarding alternator, a/c (all sort of data... result limp mode).

The ecm titanium can work this type of ecu

Best regards
