immo off on backup ecu

Postby zetec » Mon Oct 29, 2012 1:19 am

just a quick question i would like to tune the ecu fitted to my van (2.0 hdi 90 bosch edc15)as a beginer there is the possibility of "bricking" the ecu
so if i purchased an identical ecu and copyed the files from my original ecu to the new ecu would the immobiliser work or would i need to turn the immo off?

if you open your original ecu and read chip 95P08 then write this to your new ecu along with the flash you will have a clone ecu

i just cloned my ecu i used this to read 95p08 with a test clip incircuit

with that programmer a test clip like one in the link below you can read your 95p08 chip with out desoldering from your original ecu
but to program to the new ecu you will have to desolder to program it then solder back
