Storm Chaser wrote:Hello, I have just signed up to the forum and one of the first things I have noticed is the maturity of the members and for that I would suggest you all give yourselves a pat on the back. With most if not all forums I have been a part of the new members questions that get asked is normally flamed by 'use the search button' and whatnot but here things are different and thats a good thing. Like many, I am not adverse to the concept of remapping and have done work on standalone management systems but I am now getting in to the realms of wanting to learn about writing my own files as I have been asked to do some work for someone with a particular model that only CMD could cater for so now I have a CMD master and WinOls and now the learning process begins. However, I think the 3 post rule for me at least seems to herd people in to posting 3 posts for the sake of it when perhaps these are not of a constructive nature and adds excess to what is otherwise a very useful and informative postI just think that a post in the welcome area about where they are and what they would like to get from being in this community would be more beneficial?

Do not exaggerate. 3 posts are not so difficult to write. I tottly agree with ecuedit that this is a better way than registration only with an invitation.
