ford focus 1.6tdci b0rked ecu

Postby paul0 » Tue Feb 03, 2015 10:04 pm

Afternoon peeps

Got a ecu that i need to try and recover. Mpps erased the flash and failed on rewrite leaving ecu useless. Mpps and genius tool now wont ID ecu. Plan on putting ecu in boot mode and using mpps on bench via obd pin outs.

Is this possible and where is the boot mode location in the ecu. Can upload picture of ecu board if needed. Google and forum search bit vage. Sure iv got pin out for can and power.

Cheers
Paul

recover it with bdm ... car will start and will have error variant coding or something similar because eeprom data will be damaged
then recode with genuine tool in my case FORD VCM
had exact same problem with ford C-Max 1.6 - mppd and dimsport genius kill it exactly the dame way

Got vehicle back online. But had to use another cars full bdm file. Have comms with ecu but won't start due to immo not matching pats. Is there a work around from this? Can I edit something to match id's? I assume this info is stored in the serial flash? Old file size is 4kb new serial flash is 8kb so can't even flash it back on as bdm won't allow it.

Cheers
