Hex code for maps

Postby TuningIsArt » Thu Jun 11, 2015 11:48 pm

Hello guys. It's my first comment in forum. My question is:do you know how we can use hex code to find maps on our own?Let's say that we use ECM Titanium or Winols. Is it possible to extract more maps by "decoding" hex?And if yes how can we succeed that?I found a format IntelHex that says how we can find data when we read EEPROM.Didnt try yet to figure out what's going on with that.If anyone has any idea I would be glad to hear it.Thank you

hi everybody,
first of all i have to ask what do you mean by "map"?
if i'm wrong plz correct me!
map file in a ECU or any embedded device is a file that specify every section(data section, code section,...) of flash.
second i want to specify address of the calibration data in a engine controller ECU.
any hint would be appreciated
