2010 EDC17 Jaguar XF 3.0d too much air pressure

Postby /AMG » Sun Jul 12, 2015 10:44 pm

Hello,

I have a problem with a 2010 Jaguar XF with 240hp. (EDC17)
When it drive 160km/h and you give full throttle than a red light comes with the error: "Engine Power limited"

They is a problem with the secondary Turbocharger. There is a valve which are let to run the second turbocharger at 2800 RPM.
When it is under 2800RPM the Valve must close and the charger are off.

On the valve is a electric sensor which are measures the status and the time between the Valve close and open.
So are on the Valve a Tolerance about 5-10ms.
The problem is after some years and mileage this valve are miss to open and close in this time.

So my question is, Is it maybe possible to disable the check of this valve? Or to higher the response time?
Or will it help to delete the error codes ?

For me it is the same, the second turbocharger can too run permanent :D (If adjust it higher power is possible too :D)

Can maybe anyone help me on this?
Because this valve isn't possible to find anywhere and Jaguar want only change complette turbocharger.
The 3.0d from Jaguar has a Twin Turbo system. The first Turbo is a big charger with VNT, the second charger are working only from 2.800rpm (Without VTG). From 2.800 both turbocharger's are working together.

Sorry for my bad english..

Thanks in advance and best Regards
