1.6HDI remap gone bad

Postby easy2eyes@msn.com » Wed Sep 09, 2015 10:39 pm

Hi, i own a Peugot 407SW with 1.6HDI and ecu EDC16C3.

It was tuned by a company they have changed the file three times but they cant get it right, i get code P0238 (overboost) and i have alot off black smoke i never had a problem before and i have changed all injectors, boost control solenoid, turbo, MAP sensor, intake temp sensor and i have checked everything on the engine.

The problem always happens under load and at 3000rpm in 3th-5th gear and the smoke is only under load but its bad, when i hit 3000rpm it will lose rpm and give engine light i can accelerate over 3000rpm after it loses rpm.

I bought a bdm100 from ebay (china) and i have read out the files and i wonder if anyone can take a look on the file and see if the can see anything wrong with it, I got a remap, dpf off and egr off on the file i would post the file but i cant find it but i will send it via mail.

I really appreciate if anyone can help me, im new with tuning but desperate to fix it as this is my daily driver and i dont want to destroy the new turbo

Do you also have the original file?
Could be difficult to find a mistake if you just upload the modified.

I will get the oem file from the tuner, is there a difference if a file is read out of obd2 contra the bdm inside ecu?
The oem file is read out of obd2 and the modified file i have read out of bdm, the modified file is made by a company in Germany or so the tuner says do you know anything about them?

I will ask the guy for my oem file and see what he says, thanks for your help :-)

Here are the modified files, my ecu is an EDC16C3 and not an EDC16C34 dont know if it makes a difference.

peugot 407 1,6hdi 109hdi.04mod.bp-98491.bin

Here is my oem file but i had to change the name so the file ended with .bin tell me if there is a problem with it.
My file is from an EDC16C3 i see that most of the 407 got the EDC16C34 dont know if it matter or if there is a difference.

Well i found out why the file is "funny" the oem file is read out with kess via obd2 port, the tuned file i have read out with bdm so it seems i will have to get him to write the oem file back so that i can read it out.
