WinOLS maps.

Postby donux7 » Fri Jul 31, 2015 7:38 pm

Hello i am newbie at WinOLS and maybe someone have very good tutorial links or something very useful for beginners? All i understand now is how to open bin files. I see all these potentials maps, zones where are these maps but the main question is how to understand which map is EGR or TORQUE LIMITER or something else? How to know that from 2D drawings? :eh:

Hi there, I'm also working on mapping out an ECU from an AVK 3.0 v6.

I guess I need 3 quality posts to start downloading files for my research, so here's post #2

Hi, I would say a combination of the 2 posts above. Watch and copy exactly what is on the YouTube videos and repeat until it sinks in. Then download some damos files and see what they pull up.

I've looked through the VAGECUMAP videos on youtube, and they are a wealth of information. Great resource for a newbie, thanks!

Is there anywhere that talks about modifying, deleting or turning off modules that you don't need, specifically in the scenario of swapping motors?

Specifically looking for ways to change auto --> manual, and to run a VAG 3.0 TDI in a non VAG vehicle. Thanks!

for auto to manual normally the torque limiter is différent
you can do it with softcoding in the ecu

By softcoding you mean by using some of the VCDS (Vag-com diagnostic software) and changing it that way? That would be very helpful, but I still have to find out where to do that. Any ideas where that would be?
