You must learn for years in order to fully understand just one ecu type. :) If you want to make shitty tunes is easy, to make good tunes, first you must know very well how your engine works, what are the limitations of fuel system, air charge, etc.

Thanks for the answers. I know theres a lot's of ECU's type, but all of them is the same, they have one job to control the sensor's of the engine and active the actuator's but with diferent code's :D

I think the VAG ecu's is easier, you know any website or books(pdf) for this ECU's? I think this type of ECU is EDC, correct?

Apollon, thanks for the site but it's a little confuse for me :s
I found this site: https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap/home i think it's good to begin. I try an excercise to found the maps of a Seat 1.9 tdi 105hp i already find the 9 map's driver wish, egr and the torque limiter.
You guys can help me to indentify the others?

vagepump is a very good place to start if you are looking to start to tune diesel cars. there is a big difference when it comes to diesel and petrol cars. the maps is allot different. the forum is the best place to learn. we will help you.

what software do you have for editing files?

Stick it out with winols, where EDCsuite is like giving man one fish, winols is like teaching a man to fish.

WinOLS is an open editor - it can do everything you're capable of telling it to do, where similar programs can do only what someone else was capable of telling to do/identify.

Helper programs help, but tuning is about information management, time spent on winols is beneficial.
