What tools are recomended for tuning VAG's cars?

For software: Winols or VAGEDC Suite?

And for Hardware?

my current car is a 2.0 tdi Seat Leon FR

Vagedcsuite is software only for beginners and only for edc15, your ECU is edc16. For vag cars almost all known flash tools works perfect.

I use edc suite but i just remap edc15 cars.. Another question people with mpps i can read/write edc16 or edc17?

i would recommend kess & k tag. edc16 can be read by mpps but mostly vag. edc 17 has protection read protection so you need to do a bmd on it to remove it.

EDC17 is not BDM - they're done by bootmode or OBD.

I have an original MPPS and it's great for VAG stuff, for example (but not limited to): Bootloader and OBD for EDC15, OBD e2p access for EDC15, EDC16 support, EDC17 OBD support where unprotected, and EDC17/Siemens PCR bootloader if you buy the extra plugin (which I have).

For the price its fantastic.

As for tuning software, Winols, Swiftec or some other open editor. EDCsuite shows you some maps in some ecu's which can be 'useful at times' but isnt a suitable editor solution in itself. My 2p.

Thank you all, so I have bought a mpps which I think supports edc17 but I thought vag suite supported 17... So the best bet for software is winols, I am a beginner is there any software that is as user friendly as vag suite?

This is perfect setup to work with ECU remapping. It can be used with many types of ECU and even beginners should handle it.
