Transfer 535D tune to my new 535D

Postby ChrizLoud » Sun Nov 22, 2015 8:17 pm

Hello!

I have read out my first 535D map (re-mapped) with my MPPS V13 using MPPS software and everything went well.

Now i want to use this map on my second 535D that has the same yearmodel, ecu software version.

Can i just write the first 535D file to the new car or is it better to read out the new cars map and compare and make the nesecerry changes then re-upload to the second 535d.

Thank you.

Read the bin of new car , made your mods and write back, use the first file only as example.

The cars are actuallt even the same color... haha

i own the file so there should be no copywright law problems.

Is it safe to try?
If something goes wrong with MPPS my guess is that i can use winkfp and restore original software?

not true. you will always recover bmw edc16 with winkfp unless ECU is physically damaged.

ChrizLoud, try to write file from another car, for sure will block ECU and than try recover with winkfp, is so simple!!!!
But it is much easier, rather than risk, to modify your own file. That's the right way.
