Hi from a Newbie on this forum,

Trying to learn about ecu reading, finding maps, changing, writing aso..

At the moment looking at my Porsche 996tt original file.
Trying to locate all maps and understand what each map does.
Is there really no database of such things anywhere? - map locations for various ECU's..
Can such "templates" be sourced from somewhere?
So instead of everyone having to spend a lot of time on locating maps and trying to determine what map does what..
I actually find it interesting and funny to fiddle around with such things but, if nothing else, then I would still like to verify findings before I start editing.

In the future would to be able to change my file to accomodate bigger maf, bigger injectors and so on.

Wow none of you skilled guys who can shed a little light on this?
I understand it can be annoying to keep answering questions from newbies.
But I am really just asking if there is any shortcuts for getting an overview of all the maps in the ECU..
I understand that might involve sourcing some SW or similiar..
