Hello guys, I'm new to this and I am very interested in learning.

I would like to increase the performance of my car to around 175-185hp. It is a 525tds E39 1998 model (manual).
I have found out that my ECU has 2 EPROMS that needs to be replaced. Beyond that I have no clue on what I need to do.
What type of EPROM do I need and what hardware and software do I need to do this?

I have also read in a different forum that you can get around 185hp by changing the EPROMS, adjusting the boost pressure and pressure in to the MAP. Anyone has any knowledge on this? :)
