looking for some help with regards to tuning the afn tdi engine, im aware that the ecu is to old to be remapped and that it has to have the chips replaced , my question is are the replacement chips programmable ??? there seems to be reworked chips available for standard cars taking them to 135-140 bhp @1.15 bar (max for stock turbo apparently) im planning on fitting bigger nozzles and a pd130 turbo to allow for high boost for more power but how do i go about the mapping side , is taking it to a tuning company to be mapped the only option or is there anyone who sells a chip for this setup ....... not to clued up on the management side of things , any help would be appreciated

to your ecu you can use memory (2x) 29F010 and socket plcc32. are you have programmer to this memory ? i have the same car and i made mod to 143 hp (i have graph from dyno) so i can help you.

you need something like this

i have used also a programmer looks like that its WILLEM PROGRAMMER....

you need 2 Chips 29F010 (not with 27.... they are not rewriteable)

i would say you buy extra 2 Sockets PLCC32 its better for you than you have only one time to make desolder work.... :mrgreen:

For memory 29F010 better used Universal Flasch Programmer it's cheap and better
