Hi All,

I have posted this exact same topic on the 406coupeclub as well, but I figured I shared it here as well!

Here's my review on the remap by editecu.com. First of all, Srdan is a great guy to work with! He speaks very good english and he's widely available for communication like skype, google-talk, mail, phone, sms. Whatever problems you are having with your map / car he will give you a straight answer where to look for. I am truly satisfied by his service all-round.

First up: the transaction, we paid the money's on friday evening, Adriano told us that he would contact us probably monday or tuesday for the map being finished. I figured he'd enjoy his weekend, like I do mine. It turned out that I think sunday afternoon he came with the first map for me to try. Noting the group buy of 3 persons/maps I was happily surprised!

This first map I should make a run and record PP2000 fuel rail pressures and that kind of stuff. Sent the recordings back and he sent me the 2nd, "final" version shortly after. I drove with it a few days and discovered a bit of a problem. In high gears 4th, 5th and 6th, putting your foot down at lev revs (1500 - 2250 rpm) the car strangely started to rumble/vibrate. Srdan almost instantly adjusted the map for me and I got my version 3. The vibrations/rumbling was gone and initally no percieved loss of power, yay! Though, you will be able to find this back in de plot later on.

Later on, I tried to test my car/engine performance in high rev's at high speeds. Somehow, it seemed to me that the car was a bit less responsive in this range and that the car seemed to have trouble accelerating past 200 km/h . Although, I did not have a very long stretch of completely empty highway since I was doing this on public highway. I told Srdan, and he took my comments seriously (although I was VERY wrong!) He told me he would look into maximum power at the top of the rev range, and also into responsiveness.

Because I really wanted to make a dyno run someday anyway, I figured this would be the perfect timing. I asked him if he wanted to have any minor things tested, so he came up with a bunch of maps for me to test in a priority list. I at least wanted to test the stock map, with the EGR and FAP off, and the "180" map. Shortly before the dyno runs Srdan called me and told me which map would be the most brutal, he tried to further improve BHP's and responsiveness in this map. He told me to be careful and engine lights may pop-up. But I already took my PP2000 cables and stuff with me.

Here are the results of the dyno runs, I had it done at the AutoSportCompany in Waalwijk. Really passionate, friendly and humble guys doing about everything with race and rally cars.
Ambient air pressure: 999.3 mBar
Ambient air temperature: 10.5 Celcius
the Red is Stock, without FAP, and EGR:
140.6 pk @ 3931 rpm - 346.7 Nm @ 2106 rpm.
the Blue is the famous "180" map:
169.2 pk @ 3837 rpm - 406.6 Nm.@ 2229 rpm.
the Green is Srdan's map:
182.2 pk @ 3944 rpm - 441.9 Nm @ 2319 rpm.

DYNO RUN RESULTS HERE

The guys where I did my dyno runs where really impressed by the results os these maps. The funny thing was after we ran the stock map, and then an IQ93 thereafter. The guy really was like "Woww!!". He also asked me what my tuner (Srdan) estimated the BHP's, so I told him +/- 185. Again he was really impressed and told me, this guy know what he is doing if he estimates your bhp's with only a few horses of difference. Sometimes, they see a 500/600 bhp car soming in and the tuner estimates 600 bhp, which measures 500 on the dyno. That doesn't impress him much he told me, haha. We tested the "180" map last, and especially when reaching the high rev's, the whole room started to fill with black smoke, it's plot may confirm this.

On my way home, I started to notice the responisiveness of the car was now AMAZING! I have to tell you the responsiveness of the fuel flow reacts very similarly ;) Still! I had to drive a long stretch of highway for 100 km/h only because of speed cam's. The fuel consumption I directly read of my board computer display was:
4.2l/100km (= 67 mpg) @ 100 km/h @ 1800 rpm in 6th.
Recently I have read a direct fuel consumption at the display of:
5.7l/100km (= 50 mpg) @ 130 km/h @ 2300 rpm in 6th.
This used to be in the stock map with FAP, with EGR:
7.2l/100km (= 33 mpg) @ 130 km/h in 5th gear.

I have driven about 1 full tank now on this map and just topped off the fuel again. I must admit I'm having severe lead-foot-syndrome because the amount of torque combined with the responsiveness makes me actually laugh out loud when driving my car! Anyway, I'll reset my trip counter anyday soon, and -try- to regain my regular style of driving, and report my trip average. I usually have a reliable reading after 9999km's in my opinion :)

I have all diagnostic readings of significant values during the runs (+/- 31 in total), which were only recorded once every second or so. But I have only matched the 3 runs displayed in the plot. With permission of Srdan, here are the results of the On Board Diagnostics readings during the runs for your future reference: RED, Stock, BLUE, 180, GREEN, IQ93. Values displayed are:
- Device Time,
- Speed (OBD)(km/h),
- Engine RPM(rpm),
- Throttle Position(Manifold)(%),
- Turbo Boost & Vacuum Gauge(bar),
- Fuel flow rate/minute(cc/min),
- Mass Air Flow Rate(g/s),
- Fuel Rail Pressure(kpa),
- Intake Manifold Pressure(kpa)

My setup is as far as it is applicable:
- Stock air intake system (with knitted sock),
- K&N HighFlow air filter fitted,
- With CAT,
- Without FAPpo,
- Without EGR,
- Stock Exhaust system,
- Without Nicowico's airdoser pipes.

Anyways I'm very satisfied by Srdan's results! I really wouldn't even expect a plug-and-play map and it is nice to see how a map "evolves" over time. I would recommend editecu.com for all your mapping desires!

Who is Srdan? Could he be Srdan Matavulj from SM Chiptuning?

We should not forget to mention the team.
Team work and cooperation also with the customer is the key to the success.

Here is also 200hp dyno video from another Peugeot 406 that we made - smoke free.



The tune is made exactly for that car.

Those kind of fine tunes can work properly only on that car, because it is made to get maximum torque and
HP with stock parts 182,2HP an 442NM, also to do this kind of tune remotely, there should be the customer that knows how to use the PP2000, flasher and also good driver to report all needed to get as best as possible fine tune, and Mr. Joost also did his part of the job perfect.

Without the feedback it is impossible to do this kind of job.

If this kind of modifications would be done on some other exactly the same car, it just would not work,
because it is modified based on his hardware state, on the maximum the hardware can produce.

Hi,
first you have to send your original bin file here: www.editecu.com and fill out the form correctly,

Also video log of "stress" test for turbo & rail to see the state of it, if your car can produce that kind of power.
You get all the info after you send the original, how to do that test...

After that the price can be determined.

Note that for that power your hardware has to bee in good condition.

Based on your measurements we can calculate the maximum power your car can produce.
Calculation is accurate +/- 2hp.

Max you can get is around 185hp and 450nm of torque,
but most of cases are around 180hp and 440nm.
