Polo 2006 1.4 tdi pd 80 hp BNV - strange original file?

Postby torgrim » Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:22 am

Hello
I have been looking at the different maps in my car, and tried to compare the data to other similar cars. I have not found a file from a car with the same engine code, but compared it to some other files from 1.4 tdi and also 1.9 tdi. The car is not particulary fast and has slow throttle-response, but i get good economy (4-4,5 L/100 km on longer journeys).

I think the duration maps in my file seem to have very long durations (up to 42°). In dur 01, 55 mg @4000 RPM my car has 36,0°, while other files I have seen has 28.7° at the same location. I also think the SOI maps look very untidy in my file. I'm almost sertain the boost target map is original, but I guess a tuner could have decalibrated the MAP sensor. The EGR system is operational.

Is it likely that this is an original file, or has the car been remapped earlier? Is it possible that this ECU uses a different factor for the duration maps than ordinary 0.023437? It seems strange if the 80 hp BNV should have smaller injectors than the 70 and 75 hp versions of the 1.4 tdi, and also compared to 100 hp 1.9 tdi. What do you think?

I have done some iterations changing my file, and have finally succeded in removing EGR and keeping the electric intake manifold flap open when the engine runs. The flap still closes when i shut down the engine to smoothen the shutdown, and I got no fault codes yet.

The torque limiter allows durations up to 32 degrees, and the EOI might become approx 12 degrees ATDC at 2500 rpm, but ends sooner at higher revs. I have not increased the turbo pressure a lot, because I don't think it is necessary for the fueling I got. What do you think about this tune?
