EGR off on Ssangyong Kyron 2.0 XDI

Postby Vahmurka » Thu Jan 31, 2013 12:41 am

Does anybody know about any working solution for Sangyong Kyron 2.0 diesel engines?
I heard some rumours that in ECU firmware EGR is always off after reaching 100km/h speed limit. So my idea is to decrease this value to, say, 1 km/h
Is this good idea or it's better to look somewhere else?

EGR can be disabled by many approaches. One is with switch one is fuel based...you can always lower the limit and it will be closed, but without the switch you can not detach it or unplug in some cases...

EGR is physically destroyed some time ago. Have acchived great improovment on low RPM and decrease of turbo lag.
My worries is that fuel consumption may not be optimal.
