Hi to all I am quite new in ecu remaping world. But I have fearly good understanding of how engines work etc. Been working with cars and bikes for all my life.

I started learning about ecu tunes/remaps for past month or so. And now decided to start playing and messing around with some of our scrap cars to get better understanding and to start playing with it. Main software I am willing to use is winols demo.

My main question is what hardware/tool/cable to use to read the original file save it play with copy of it and install it back in the car.

Somebody recommended kess v2 master but its quite costly. And for learning I dont really want to spend that much money. So maybe there are some decent tools to use for affordable price. I know there are some cheap Chinese clone tools but from my research they are not reliable at all.

Prefer to start playing through obd2 connector and later learn more about bench tuning.

Any advice is much appreciated!

You are not allowed to discuss clone tools here, so your only advise is to but a real tool.
Kess is a good tool and also K-Tag, tho they are old now.
A 5 minute search on the net will find the currently used devices...

It might take only 5mins for your when you know what to look for exactly. I am looking for cheaper tool to play around but all I can find are the tools costing over £1000.

I am looking for recommendations and opinions in here.

And you got just that.... there are no cheap tools....
as I said, clone tools are NOT allowed here so there's only real tools that can be discussed here,
if you can't afford them then this really isn't our concern....
