Hey guys, new here. i have a legit ktag and can read out a duramax ecu. So the question is, is there software or a way that i can manually change the vin in the 32kb eeprom dump and recompile it? Does it need checksum redone with the new vin? Any help would be greatly appriciated. i see companies on ebay selling ecus preprogrammed to your vin number for plug and play. im wondering of they are doing that by bench flashing or a complete harness simulation and tech2 or snapon tablet. Insight would be great. id love to do it on my pc.
