VW Golf 4 1.9TDI 90HP

Postby iFURY » Sat Mar 06, 2021 9:51 pm

Hello guys, I bought a Golf 4 1.9TDI 90PS, but the car have a overboost problem. I checked the vacuum lines and wastegate and everything look okay(im not sure how exactly actuator arm need to move when I start the car). The car is speed up really good on low RPMs, but when I WOT the car to the limit on 3th gear, on VCDS i see differences in target boost and actual boost(target 2100, actual 2400). I think the car may have remap, can anyone see the file and tell me if there is a problem? Thanks!

Thanks for reply "selveti7"! If these VGT vanes are stuck, won't the car be slow at the low RPMs or not? I know this problem is really common on these engines, but i want to be sure before going to remove the turbo.

depends in what positions are stuck the vanes .... inspect your turbocharger pipes and inspect n75 sensor... if you dont find nothing wrong than you have te remove the turbo and check inside :D
