start an engine on stand using Factory ECU

Postby Si14 » Wed Dec 15, 2021 11:58 pm

Hello,
I have an engine on a stand. It does not connect to other parts of the vehicle. How can I start it on the stand, using the Factory ECU?
Thanks very much.

of course you can start it, just need immo off or connected all immo components, of course you need gearbox mounted to actually be able to spin it to start with starter motor

Thank you. As I mentioned I have started the engine with standalone ECU. So, starter is OK. No gearbox was in place.
My question is when changing to factory ECU, how shall I turn off immo?
Thanks.

Thank you. Where do you suggest to start? Is there any software similar to standalone ECU, which I can use to monitor factory ECU parameters or maybe change them?
