ALFA 159 DPF & EGR Off recommended Hardware

Postby patsimo » Tue Mar 19, 2013 12:42 am

Hello guys,
congratulations on the nice forum for those who created.
I have an Alfa Romeo Sportwagon model of 2006, 1.9 JTDm with 150ps. The ECU type I get from the FIATEcuScan software (without connecting with car - just by selecting the model in PC) is BOSCH EDC16C39 CF4/EOBD Diesel Injection.
I also posted some questions about it in other sections. Now, regarding hardware, is there any specific hardware you would recommend for doing the job for me? I heard about MPPS. Is is any good? Why is that from China it costs at about 20 dollars while in UK I found it even at around 500dollars? Are those MPPS v13 from china working with my car? What do you recommend?
Thanks a lot, regards from Greece
Paris

MPPS V13 is fake. MPPS V12 can be used for reflashing your ECU.

Clone - risk.
OBD flshing - risk.

I remaped one with MPPS clone. All good. Read/write without problems.

Dont use galletto. You can only read it, but when you write you will delete map and than you will get write error. Use mpps v5, it works 100%.

my opinion is equal the ecuedit.

security is bdm (bdm100 is cheaper and good).

mpps work good, but more risk.

if you have mpps and bdm and file in your computer not problem write by mpps, because fail the write, your salvation is bdm.

Thank you very much again for your insight, to all that answered. Is it easy to use BDM 100? In my case I found a trustworthy person that would give me a file to flash. I bet BDM 100 works quite different and this file is useless...

The file to flash will be given to me after I read my original ecu file somehow and send it to him.
