Question about maps..

Postby Enthusiast » Sat Mar 09, 2013 1:49 pm

What is an SOI map?

I'm using swiftec to edit maps (tune) but it doesn't always find all the maps. For example I tried tuning BMW but there was dsg torque limiter for gearbox limiting me to 400Nm but swiftec didn't find the map and I have no idea how to recognise these things.

Is there any examples of all the different maps so I can study and learn what they look like?

Hi, i am also learning the maps and it will be very helpfull if someone who knows all tke maps can tell what they are.
I have been study with WinOls and there are a lot of different maps ( some maps are even many times ). It will be good if we get info, which maps are nesessary to EDIT, when remapping.

SOI means Start Of Injection - this map shows begining of injection in engine crankshaft degrees. In most cases the axes are IQ-Injected Quantity and RPM, values represented by the map are in engine crankshaft degrees.
