I have got VECTRA C 1.9CDTI 150HP. Almost a year ago, by not knowing enough about modern diesel engines
i ruined DPF purposely preventing regeneration mode.
When i learned how much it cost to replace a DPF, i found "cheaper" solution by finding unknown custom remapper and paying him to
remap DPF out. He also offered first stage power remap at no extra cost, promising better economy and more power. So a agreed.
I should have no better. Yes, DPF was mapped out, and yes, i got more powerful engine.
What i haven't noticed at first is excessive amount of black smoke. Explained by remapper that this is due to lack of the DPF.
Never mind that, after a while i noticed that car is consuming more fuel to what it is actually displaying on the trip computer and what you put in the tank. Simply speaking, if i put in the tank 50l. I run out of fuel when computer is still showing approx. 40-45 liters.
This proves that engine is consuming more fuel than it should and ECU is not reading data correctly.
To make things even worse, recently turbo developed whistling noise ( turbo core assembly is out of balanced and bearing are failing) and started leaking oil. Another prove of inadequate remap.
Of course "custom remapper" has know disappeared and that the end of it.

I would like to restore ECU original parameters but with DPF mapped out. Unless it is possible to remap engine torque properly
So my questions to you fellas:

1. Where do i obtain latest version of this ECU firmware. I know vectra c 1,9cdti come with EDC16C39 or EDC16C9.
2. What is the best price/quality rated cloned tuning hardware to carry out one time ECU tuning?
3. Perhaps you could suggest a better solution to my issue.

Any tips, comments, etc. are welcomed.

You can just update on new software.. But than you must again set off the DPF.
Or you searching or buy a original file with already DPF off.

But the best will be only update.(By self or on Opel)
Than you have new version and DPF Off are not expensive on this Forum! (Their is partner website..)
They just want about 20-30€ for DPF Off...
