Hello,
i am overhauling and converting several used VW Jetta SDI engines (ALH 2001) to industrial purpose TDI's, running water pumps and generators.
Have the first prototype ready, this one is powered by a mechanical injection pump coming from a 2.8L Isuzu trooper engine.
I will post dyno results of that setup later on.
However i would like to further upgrade this setup with to electronic controlled injection.
I have a bunch of ECU's from these SDI Jetta's, 038906012GC that i would like to flash so they are able to control an waste-gated turbo.
I learned in another forum that the SDI ECU's already have the Turbo maps installed and can be activated plus it could be wired to control the N75 solenoid (wastegate valve) and MAF sensor.
I also need the IMMO deactivated (not even sure if the ECU has one) and the vehicle speed sensor deactivated (if possible)
So far so good, i am an automotive engineer and master mechanic and should be able to read and learn my way into this.
Problem is that there are not to many tutorials out there describing the process of ECU tuning step by step, plus i am lacking the time to experiment here.
What i am looking for is someone who has experience with these ECU's who is able to modify the SDI maps to handle the turbo plus teaching me the process of how he did it on this VW specific SDI/TDI ECU.
What would be the cost for the hardware and software to get started here?
What would you charge to tutor me here?
Looking forward to your reply
Thanks
