Tuner From US, Getting into BMW Tuning, AWD & 2WD Load Dynos

Hi I am a dyno tuner from the US. My name is DK Goodrich

I am really happy to find your great forum!

I really like how you guys talk about and support so much german and exotic tuning!

In the US, german tuning is very hard to find info about and I just bought a personal 04-10 BMW 545I 6 Speed Black on Black.

I've always loved these cars and I am hoping to get into the the stock ecu tuning side of things so I can eventually turbo charge it. As designing turbo kits with my Miller Syncrowave is my 2nd passion other from tuning.

I'm hoping the stock ecu tuning is capable enough to support boost and possibly a built engine, or I'll be forced to parallel in a Haltech Elite 2500 ;)

I do all my tuning on either my 2WD mustang load dyno or my AWD mustang load dyno that is in a dyno cell. Not sure what type of dynos you guys use, I would imagine mainline and dyno dynamics. If I were ever to replace my mustangs it would be with a mainline most likely. But in time I am looking to get a big roller Mustang load dyno for the high whp drag cars I do on slicks, like my twin turbo LS based mini tubbed full chromoly notchback. Its a 4 sec 1/8 mile chassis build but Ill be way underpowered starting out.

I also have a 2006 limited edition Subaru WRX/STI Mutt I am finishing up on 18x9.5s. As we are into Subarus as well, we have 3 black on black 04-06s. Along with Hondas/Acuras and dirtbikes (MX and Motard) as well. (My outlaw integra on a 27" tire made 774whp on 31psi and was built for 70psi/1300whp, typical ITR stroked GE o ring sleeved setup. Everything we have is borg warner powered, most are on haltech emus and we use Full race manifolds any time we don't custom TIG weld our own.

I really look forward to learning off you guys, seems like a giant wealth of knowledge in here and I'm stoked.

I'd give you guys my website address but I don't want to violate any rules or come off like I'm advertising, as I am certainly not. I did go thru the rules and want to be on this site for some time. Our site is just cool because you can see some crazy stuff I get to dyno tune, esp the rock bouncers. lol

Thanks for taking the time!

Any tips or advise on 545i tuning would be greatly appreciated!
DK

Also I can attach some pics of some toys if anyone is interested and it doesn't violate any rules ;)
