Wait! Before anyone hangs me, I DO prefer a real flash tune. But I wasn't sure where to put this thread as I didn't see a piggyback subforum so I thought the general forum would be ok. However, as from my previous posts stated, no one has this for my W204 mercedes benz C200 CGi engine running a Siemens Continental ECU. What I was using was a TMC Motorsport piggyback but I've recently gotten a different brand piggyback that allows the user to adjust certain settings for a more personal "tune".
Now this new piggyback box that I'm testing allows the user to adjust the following setting:
Boost Onset
Boost Amount
Fuel Rail Onset
Fuel Rail Amount
Turbo Valve
I've been doing some testing including using a box that had a 1000ohm resistor and a box that had a 30ohm resistor and the latter provided better power with the "map" that the 1000ohm box was using.
Now the problem is these are the only variables that I can adjust so right now my goal is to stablize my AFR's and steadily find the threshold of my turbo and boost. I've currently set my "map" to add boost and fuel by 2600rpms and my turbo valve at 800rpms. But i'm getting some slight bogging/hesitating seemingly when going uphill.
Currently my AFR during idle is somewhere between 14.7-14.9, under throttle it will go anywhere from 12.0-14.0. My peak boost is around 18psi. I'm using a AEM boost gauge and AFR gauge to track my data.
My question is, right now with this being the only to "tune" my car, what should my AFR's be ideally? Please let me know if this was the correct place to post this or if a mod could move this to the correct subforum that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
