So, I'm looking to get a corsa VXR in a few months from a close friend, but he bricked his ECU a while back (typical laptop crashed mid flash). I'd ideally really rather not have to pay £150 (from what I've seen) for a new ECU and since he's pretty skint on money, I'd rather not make him fall any lower on price considering he's selling it to me for naut at the moment anyway.

I'd far rather go through the effort of finding a method to unbrick / repair it.

Can anyone advise on what might be possible, preferably without having to get other people to do it for me as it's also a learning experience for me.

Did you ever find a solution of the bricked ecu? Boot mode is possible on this ecu.
