Volvo V70 - Denso ECU question

Postby LNDV70 » Tue Nov 08, 2016 2:06 am

Hi there!

I drive a Volvo V70 Classic (2000) with a 2.4 engine.

Together with someone I know (someone with a vast amount of experience - unlike me!) I'm hoping to uncap my 140hp to its original 170hp. Because this model car came in two versions. Engine is exact the same, only difference is in the ECU.

Does anyone here know a little bit about this Denso ECU? And is there a way to read from the label if it's a 140 or 170 hp version? There are some numbers on mine which I don't know what they mean: 0000122079 or 00106? (they are to the right side of the label)

Here's the link to the image of my ECU: http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q381 ... i89ahd.jpg

Since Denso is only used for a short period of time in these Volvo's I'm not finding a lot of info on it just yet....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
