VW Passat 1.9 TDI PD 100 BHp (74 kW) AVB

Postby Edvinas » Mon Jun 10, 2019 8:49 am

Hello, so i have bought Mpps v16 and read my car's ecu. And sadly my car is already chip-tuned (car seller didn't said anything about it and i never have driven car like this before). So far i am just learning about chip-tuning (only for hobby to tune my own car). So basically i dont know if to keep this tune file or try to edit myself. BTW original file is downloaded from this site and values compared with https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap/understanding-ecu-maps, maps in my car is called full_Volkswagen.bin
But what's strange for me:
Driver wish: requested IQ looks pretty big :D
Torque limiter: why is X axis altered and changed values in 0 rpm?
EGR: is it possible, that EGR is used more in chip-tuned engine, original map holds bigger values so EGR is used less?
Boost target map: max boost is raised a by 0,2 Bar, x and y axis altered both, but in casual driving i achieved max 1950 mBar, Torque or black smoke map should allow those IQ values in boost map or it's just Boost limit map fault, because max values 2050 mBar and SVBL is 2350 :shifty: https://ibb.co/2597kq2

All diferences: https://ibb.co/c1ntYrJ

EGR has been turned off
ORI 100bhp/250nm
mod 131bhp/330nm

Seems ok, All seems within its limits on stock internals/parts.

Are we looking at the same files? :o
This tune is all over the place, torque limiter map changed at the wrong address, suppose to be a 20x3 map not a 20x3.5 lol
Some crazy changes too, some changes outside of the map area too.. not looked any further..

Thank you for ori. Later I will check this file with my current configuration. You see problem is that my car was already chip tuned. But when i found it, i havent ori to compare with, so i found similar file (ori) browsing forum. There was a lot nonsense. Like tuned Boost over 1 Bar, while other maps stock (max boost 0.95 Bar). If newbie like me found those mistakes, then probably it means all these maps was wrong. Btw I used Vag edc suite, not professional tools like WinOls

Use WinOLS, you can see the maps much easier. If you correct the mistakes then you could have a good tune :)

Sorry for troubling you, but i want to ask this question: how do you calculate afr values for smoke map? I mean why every cell has different AFR value (calculated according to Iq and air mass flow)? Is it really bad way to use lets say same AFR 17.5 for RPM range from 2.5K to 4k? I know how to calculate afr, necessary boost and IQ. Or engine efficiency or something like that depends by RPM? Answer to these questions would be a great help
