It's weird.

Mpps should do this.

What version of mpps ?
Maybe this is this EDC16C39 ??

Mpps 13.2 I belive. Defo the EDC16C9 ecu (says write only some models in an info box)
Do i need to pull any fuses etc? Another thing it does its when you go to write to hw sw and vin numbers show up as corrupt?

I read some 2004 - 2006 edc16c9 and all by MPPS.
I heard that some older need BDM.

But maybe file from ECU is encrypted and mmps save only ~50kB from 1MB ?
Or you try to upload other soft with have encryption tag inside - 'NOREAD' ?

Another teory is that people says that 'mpps 13.xx clone' dont working so good as older versions

Only bdm, with MPPs you risk overwriting areas from memory with "FF".
