will i be able to map vie cable after chip ?

hi guys basically just wanting to know if i get my car chipped wil i be able to change the maps via obd2 cable, its a 1997 a3 and i cant read the map with my cable because of the ecu age, is there a chip i can buy to let me map via cable,

No way to do it via OBD. Only soldering job on ECUs from that year.

You have to desolder eprom, and then solder sockets on the PCB.

Then you will be able to easily replace eproms.
