Hello guys, I have a specific problem with the remap of my BMW 1, and as I see here , this is a place i could get answers...
So let me introduce myself, I'm Igor from Ljubljana, Slovenia, and I have a 2008 FL BMW e87 120d, 6 speed manual transmission.
Recently I upgraded the turbo to 5 series Garrett GTB2260, got some 535d injectors, did the IC upgrade (from 135i) and Bosch pump upgrade from 6cyl 5 series.
A tuner tuned the car for me, but there seems to be a problem with the remap. I only have around 230hp and 450 Nm (with the original 120d Mitsubishi TF035 turbo I had 200hp and 450Nm), so basically we didn't make any noticable progress.
He doesnt know what the problem is and is blowing me away.
The same turbo in VW and Alfas at the same boost pressure (2.0bar) make easily 300hp.
I did some logs and it turns out the fuel is low (max 80mg per stroke). Fuel must be somehow limited by the ECU, as the high pressure pump is a big pump and also 535d injectors should give a lot of fuel.
I also get some error codes after flashing my ECU with the new map:
error codes:
4DF3
4BE3
4BE8
and the guys say it could be a problem with the software - it looks like the ECU wants to communicate with gearbox. Which is strange as I have a manual transmission.
Guys said that i have some sort of monitoring torque, or the torque limiters are not elevated/deleted/set to a proper value. (quote from a guy at another forum: "else not exceed the 4032 limit value and move in the right limiters") I should get around 550 Nm torque or even more with this turbo.
Can you help me out? What information you need to answer me?
I read about these ECU and how difficult they are to tune, especially a lot of torque limiters exist...its EDC17... i believe you are my last resort as here in Slovenia there are only a few who tune with WinOLS.
Thanks for your answer...
Igor
