Hello everyone!
A couple of days ago I heard for the first time that you can get "more" hp/nm just by remapping / editing your car.
The end goal would be to give my 2009's VW T5 (1.9TDI 105hp) more power to be able to climb a slope without loosing all of its momentum. (I doubt I will be able to do that so I would like to use a service. The Service requires a original data dump and hardware/software ids and other information I can only access after I dumped the data afaik)
I purchased a fake MPPS and got the software to work on Windows 10.
So far so good, but what now?
How do I find out what ECU my car is using?
If I understand the MPPS software correctly: It shows me 2 "possible" ECUs for a 1.9TDI T5.
Can I just "guess" which one it is by selecting one and clicking on "ID ECU" and hopefully it will work?
(If not I will select the other one?)
Are "wrong" read operations dangerous?
Kind regards,
vedel
