[2.2 hdi] air feeder removed

Postby highperf » Fri May 17, 2013 1:49 pm

hi

if you have delete egr on your ecu, you can remove the air feeder easily ;)

just to have make yourself connector for manifold, to connect directly output intercooler to maniflod as this:

for the hoses between turbo and intercooler entry you have 2 solutions for take off the hoses with the "T"

cutting the "T" and place it a connector, or take an hoses provide 2.0hdi 110hp
for me i cutting the "T" as this:

for water/air heater you can out off too, just take water hoses off 2.0 hdi and connect it directly between oil filter to water feeder

by advance sorry for my english, if any problems of comprehension are just want more explanation don't waver to ask me.

These pipes, also known as airdoser pipes and the replacement set as Nicowico pipes have nothing to do with the EGR. They are used when the fap filter is regenerated. So if you remove the pipes, be sure you first remove the fap filter in the Ecu and physicly otherwise you are in trouble.

no trouble is the fap as always in place ;)
because just the heater doser done faulty, but if the egr off heater doser off too
colder doser don't trouble if you deconnect it is just 1 or 0 position, but duty cycle with map for the heater doser

have a look on this lexia screen you just have heater doser and no colder deaser in measurement.

with egr on:

egr off:

Like I said, the airdoser pipes have nothing to do with the EGR. When the fap is regenereted the butterfly valve in the intercooler to inlet pipe switches to the heater to inlet pipe.
What you show me about the duty cycle is only a proof if the EGR still works or not.

VIII - AIR/WATER HEAT EXCHANGER (HEATING OF THE INLET AIR)
A - ROLE
The air/water heat exchanger heats the inlet air in the cylinders (during the
particle filter regeneration assistance phase).
The inlet air heater is used to increase the combustion temperature required to
regenerate the particle filter.
B - DESCRIPTION
The air/air heat exchanger, which cools the inlet air in the cylinders, is surrounded
by an air/water exchanger which heats the inlet air.
C - LOCATION
SDI021C
15
74
15 - air/water heat exchanger (inlet air heater)
74 - air/air heat exchanger
The water/air heat exchanger (15) is located near to the front air/air heat
exchanger (74).

C - LEVEL 1 REGENERATION ASSISTANCE
When the monitoring function detects a change in operating zone, it requests
activation of level 1 regeneration assistance (e.g. changing from zone "c" to "d").
Every time activation is requested, the injection ECU performs the following
operations:
· it prevents exhaust gas recycling (EGR),
· it requests activation of electrical consumers (heated rear screen, fan unit,
preheater plugs) (*),
· it controls the opening and closing of the inlet air heater throttle (if necessary),
· it activates post-injection (heating of the exhaust gases).
(*) this request is subject to the electrical load shedding strategy of the BSI
(depending on equipment).
D - LEVEL 2 REGENERATION ASSISTANCE
The principle is the same as level 1 regeneration assistance but stricter
cartographic maps lead to a higher exhaust gas temperature.
The switch from level 1 to level 2 regeneration assistance depends on the
following conditions:
· upstream and downstream exhaust temperature,
· for as long as the temperature has not reached a limit.
It is impossible to switch from level 1 to level 2 regeneration assistance if level 1
has not been active for a given time.

sorry buts no controls it just a demand to up the temperature. if need postinjection for the fap the egr open high and the heater doser too.

you can believe me i have removed this before the fap off ;)

Yes, I believe you, but if you still have the fap it isn't working well with regeneration. Like you said just a demand to open the heater doser, but what if the heater doser is removed?
