Hi guys I have a 1600 16v motor in my Fabia rally car, it is std at the moment but I am hoping to make a few mods to the engine and ecu, mainly I want to increase the rev limit a bit and possibly map out the annoying throttle cut on braking so I can use left foot braking.
I have bought a MPPS cable and it has arrived today but I have not had chance to try it yet.
could anyone point me to some software which may help me (I have experiance with several standalone ecu systems on rally cars but not with this sort of thing)

Doesn't that fabia have mareli ECU, you wont read it with MPPS

Aww that is a shame, yes it is marelli ecu, what do I need to be able to read that ecu please?

A flash programmer Am29F200/400xx :D, but don't expect wonders out of that engine, in most cases the work doesn't worth the result :)

Actually I have just checked and the ecu is Siemens, the engine is from a 2001 polo gti not a fabia,
all I really want is better throttle response and a bit higher rpm limit.

Well you can get that, still you cant read it with mpps

Depends on the ECU model, you can try with bytreshooter, if not then solder job, 29F400xx flash.
