hi, hope someone can point me in the right direction, i have an alfa romeo 156 1.8ts 16v 1999.
I wanted to remap/tune it so i bought the kwp 2000+ as this was stated to work for my car. Using the kwp 2000+ hardware and software i was able to read the ecu info, but was unsure when coming to flash the ecu. Its my understanding the my ecu is an Bosch M 1.5.5. and the ecu info cannot be backed up. i have tuned files that came with the sofware but am a little aprehensive to put my trust into them.

i have also been browsing the forum and figured that i might need SMPS MPPS V5.0.1.10? and would ecu safe be of any use to me?

What files you get with that KWP , i wouldn't upload them into any car, piece of garbage. Yes ME1.5.5 is listed into MPPS, you can try read it, but then find a tuner who will tune the file for you, not some cheap files gathered from all around the net

why do you want to chip that engine, you will not get anything from it...

thanks for reply mmx and vladom, yeah been told that the files are useless that come with kwp, has anyone on here have the proper files?? just dont want to spend much :)

yeah i know its only 12 bhp gain but its something that ave always wanted lol
