Hello,

my name is Marc, I am from Germany an 22 years old. At the moment i do study mechanical engineering with main focus on automotive development.
A few weeks ago I bought my first own car, a BMW E46 320d touring 110kw built in 2002 8-)
Since then I am totally into cars and modifying them. Till now I accomplished disabling my EGR by simply removing the pressurehose.
I bought a nice BMW faultcode reader and it shows me an error according to the disabled EGR.
My local BMW dealer will not disable it for me in the ECU and a Tunercompany nearby charges around 200 Euros. In my eyes this is way to much for just changing "Software", I know they have built up their knowledge over years and that's it what you actually pay for.

But as I mentioned I am studying in this direction, so I want to learn and achieve it by myself!!

I am really interested in the whole theme and hope to find some helpful threads and posts in the forum.
