I want to ECU tune the engine but I have heard that I have to reprogram the transmission. Can not find a tutorial on how to do this. Do anyone have experience with this.

I assume the car has a DSG transmission?

You can read the transmission ecu with Byteshooter and CMD.

Hi I think it is called 7-speed Multitronic. My question is. Do you have to reprogram the gearbox system after tuning the enginge from 140 hp til 170 hp. ECU tuning. One more question? If I am able to read the ECU from the Car with WinOLS og som other software. ODB2 interface. Is there a place I can send it and they Optimalized it so I can write it back to the ECU in the car? In Norway it costs about 1000 Euro to get it done. Thank you.

I see there is three different ECU Bosch EDC 16U1, Bosch EDC 16U31 and Bosch EDC 16U34. How do I know which to use?

Can I read the ECU with WinOLS. Send it to http://www.editecu.com/, recieve it modified and flash it back with WinOLS?

When you read the ecu with BDM you wont break the ecu. The connection is on all these three ecu's the same.

I think EDC16U1 is without DPF.

It is EDC16U34 in your car.

The DSG doesn't require programming if you switch off the correct byte.
