Hi all!

Postby L4ller » Sat Aug 04, 2012 11:17 am

Hi guys, I'm Laller, from Hungary.

I've a Polo typ 6N2, with an engine 1.4 16V, and a 105 HP 1.9 PdTDi Golf V.

I really love them. I've bought a Galletto 1260 cable, cause my Golf is "eating" so much. In first round i'd like to know what things could i do with this, and with my old Asus A6Jc notebook. Can I read the content of my cars ECUs, and can i write them too?

I'd like to learn how to optimalize my cars to my needs with these stuffs. Can you help me?

Thanks a lot, and sorry for my bad english.

L.

Hi!

I switched my cable to my golf, and in the software of galleto 1260 i pressed "downolad file". Then it did something , and asked where to save. I created a new map for file, and saved in it name of "Golf 5.chk". I downloaded demo version of WinOLS, and opened this "golf 5. chk" in winols. How can I show you the content of ECU to take opinion for it? My car doesn't smokes, and it's strong enough, but i think it should "eat" less with these settings. Thank you for help me!

Welcome L4ller,
now when you read the ecu, post it to the Original ECU files here:
orginal-ecu-files

Than we can go step by step ;)
Also I advice you to read some nice literature at the forum.

one more question: This CHK file is good for you? It should be a "BIN", no?

Hi, post the file first, I have to check it :)
You can save file with any kind of extension...I have to see what you have out there.
