Hello, my name is Daniel Ohde and I'm from sweden.
I work at a factory ultrasonictesting tubes.
The last 7 years i have had as a hobby to do the electic stuff on cars that I and a friend of mine have turboconverted.
Mainly old bmw's, like a few E21 with different engines, first one was a M10 engine from 69 that we put Volkswagen beetle piston in
and a 306 cam (i think) and a kkk29, we made 539Whp and used Autronic sm2 as ecu. Had that car to streetrace with and on the strip.
after that it have been difrerent BMW projects m50b25 mostly in different chassis, and we have always used autronic. But somewhere by the way i thought that it would be nice to turboconvert my little Clio sport -00 . And I wanted to use the original ecu. So i bought a flashing tool from a dude at a auto forum, he claimed to know what map was what and it ended up melting a piston. Thank you. I was stupid enough to not use det cans. The little clio was making 1,4 bar overload at maximal ignition at 8200 melted a piston and after that i found out more about the ecu and the maps on it. Now I am hopefully getting the car together again this summer. This made me interested in mapping original ecu's so i am going to try to remap a bmw e30 with a m50b25 with a bit 70 china turbo and the 402 ecu this summer too. I hope it will give around 450- 500 whp. I am using a Buner2 from moates to reflash it. I found a description of a dude that had the chip mounted in the dash for faster reflash, to not have to open the ecu every time. I fell for it and have mounted the chip in the dash.
I do hope it will work. And it does look really cool with a chip in the dash. ;-)
I am trying to find out how to dissasemble the bin in my sirius 32n ecu to find the axels and change the size of the ign and fuel maps from 9X20 to something like 12X15 to get it to play better with a turbo. Actually thinking of starting a full time carshop modding cars together with my friend, just have to build a bench for the tuning sessions first. Using standard ecu to map cars for the 402m strip would be nice.
Best regards
