Hello all
Background
I have fitted a replacement ECU from a repairer, the original was shorted at the high pressure pump Flow output and stopped working after about three weeks. The company that repaired it assure me it is OK.
A lexia tool says it it is not an SID801 but will read it anyway. The BSI has no faults. ECU has no Inj outputs with Ign On and when cranked and no correlation of crank/camshafts and i find timing holes match.
Original PCB had a def error on Injector 200volt generator and it also had no Inj output when cranking.
Original PCB has had the EEPROM removed pressumably to the new PCB.
Trouble is the new ECU has a 12month warranty so i cannot go inside.
I think my only way is to get the code for the memory and program it and fit it to my original PCB.
Am i going about this in the best way.
Had problem for 3 months now and am out of ideas.

Well i am a little cautious of breakers promises and with the company who supplied me with this NEW PCB fitted ECU he swares blind that it is not the ECU. have found tracking on original PCB on the 100v injector Power supply.
Also i do not know for sure if the EEprom would have the correct code.
Lexus does not recognise the ECU (Sid801), original was a Sid801A do you know the difference here?
I would like to know if there is anyone could supply me with a EEprom which I could fit in my old PCB.

Hi bobrgv,
I'm afraid you're clearly already streets ahead of me on the test bench. All i do with a soldering iron is damage! To add to your probs I suspect your ECU is a bit rare? Sorry I'm not much help :?

PS have you a means to check that your crank and cam sensors are ok? sorry if that's a bit obvious.

Hi Wrenched and thanks for reply, here goes
From what i gather on the website the EEprom is not the code that does the calculations but is used to select an address and run that part of the code. I say this because a 93C56 is only 256 by 8bits. Is this correct and if not can someone explain how the total ECU mapping i/o etc works.

Hi desperately need help
I have the above ECU and had another PCB fitted. The original 93C56 was fitted to the new PCB.
I have bought a Flash reader/writer and have removed and read the memory.
The car will not Start so I need to know if the code is correct.

Does anyone know if the 93C56 is /A-8bii, /B-16bit or /C- 8 or 16bit via pin 6 ORG.
Is there anyone with the original code that can help me to confirm if mine is correct.

Immo is in m29f400bb and immo eprom do you have clone eprom and m29f400bb ?
If you use another key your bsi is locked with old key
