i want to know what really is the right theory about pd injection.... duration are controlled in: -crank degrees? -microseconds? -bar pressure? -voltage?
Injection duration & Start Of Injection in TDI Pumpe Düse engines are in crank degrees.
The correct factor for Injection duration is 0.023437 & offset 0
The correct factor for Start Of Injection is 0.023437 & offset 0 or in some files factor - 0.023437 & offset 78
These factors and offsets are used ONLY in Pumpe Düse made by VAG group. Common rail VAG engines use other factors and offsets in their maps. Hope this info will clarify all the misunderstandings.
we know all about injection maps, but if pd injectors use an electronic solenoid that open and close, where is it in the ecu? This solenoid works with pulses, right?
I thought all injectors were either solenoid energised or not....on /off. Only pulses I am aware of is every two engine strokes in a 4 cylinder. Sometimes on modern cars pre-injection, standard injection and post injection...but they all have there own map controls in the ECU TMK. Smoke increases if the gap between pre-injection (pilot) and std-injection decreases evidently.
