MPPS hangs up with message "security access" on reading

Postby airmax » Sun Jul 28, 2013 12:16 pm

Hello,
Flushed this mod (EGR OFF & Hot start map fix) post12527#p12527 with MPPS 12.0.0.6
Connected external power supply to acc. Used slow speed.
Operation finished successfully.
Engine starts OK. Did test drive, everything looks OK. No errors in engine via VCDS.
Tried to read again (just for verification), MPPS hans up with message "security access" on reading ...
CPU id - is OK.
I didn't try to write it (scared a little bit).
What i did wrong? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If your file needed a chksum correction and you didn't make it before flash it, it's normal that the ECU do no respond properly. Try
to recover it with bootmode with a fresh ORI file.

if you flash your ecu with diffrent hw & sw you could lock your ecu too but car would still start but he will not let you to read the file...

Car came with "RocketChip" tune.
I read the file with MPPS and saved.
Wanted to install stock tune.

Writing stopped at 49%
Tried again. Same.
Error "conditions not right"

Change MPPS speed settings, same.

When trying to write the (just read and saved the file with MPPS) "rocketchip' file, it fail with 'hardware error'.

I have the same problem with my Ford Galaxy and the problem is solved if you lower the speed of the read or write.
In my case my laptop is HP probook 4520s I3 wich i think is to fast for this.
I try find something like Eepc to do the job.
