Definition file or ASAP2 or Damos file or A2L file etc...

Postby BAZIN » Mon Jul 15, 2013 1:32 pm

Hi everybody. :D

I'm retired, and to waste time I deal with Engine tune on 2 friends Racing DAF Truck CF 85 with an Engine XE 315, and I must say that as former technical Engine trainer, I know how to tune an injection, but I am not familiar with tuning ECU.

Today I use INCA/ETAS software on one of that truck which is running with an Open ECU MS6.2 BOSCH Ref : O281 010 045, and for that one I don't have trouble, it is very easy to read and modify the Map, (I obtain today more that 860Hp)

But the second Truck is runing with it's original ECU MS6.2 BOSCH Ref : O281 010 045 that is a non open ECU , and there I can't read the Map, or rather, I see a lot of things on my laptop screen, but I'm not able to understand, because the Maps and data are not in clear !!!

Note : (wanted to have the second ECU open too, but don't found any electronic Man able to do that for me  so if you have info about that !!!)

So I'm looking for the file that could help me to see clearly the Map and data, people said me ASAP2, A2L, Xdf or other definition files ?

I can use WinOls, Tunerpro or other software you can advise me !

Thanks in advance for whom will reply to my post

Have a nice day

I could help you if you can send me more info about which tool did you use to read/write the ecu, ori file and requirements for example.

Keep in touch

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for your reply

I don't see other info to tell you, I'have put the maximum in my topic !

I try to use many tools, the problem is that I'm not able to read the Map in the bin file (my knowlege is limited on hexa), so to have a clear access to the Map like with my Open ECU, some people said me that I need to have DAMOS or something like that !!!

I tried WinOls, or Tunerpro, TunerProRT, but I'm not able to read the hex file, it's to complicated for me, so I need something to display clearly the Maps, like with my open ECU, it's difficult for me to explain clearly, because of my English level, but if you have a mail, I can send you some pics examples of what I have with my open ECU.

My mail is = plhbrvbaz (arobase)hotmail (dot) com

kind regards

Herve
