Hello guys,

Have you tried doing this cars by OBD? Any problems that led you to choose doing them by BDM?

Supposedly MPPS can read/write this ECU/car and so can other tools, have you never tested it?

Also, if you have, any problems?

These cars work without a KEY, they are "keyless" and have those "keycards" that you insert and then press the "Start/Stop Engine" button. Are there any special/additional procedures to: IDying/READing/WRITing these ECUs by OBD?

I ask, because I'm getting a Laguna 2.0DCI from a friend to write the original file to again, and I would like to know of any possible problems or procedures I have to adopt to ID/READ/WRITE to this ECU by OBD.

Also, if the ECU is the same you have here, do you want me to share the original file?

I'm getting Laguna III 2.0 dCI with bad flashing, and want to write oryginal software as first.
In BDM I could read/write eeprom and count checksum.
If You get working car, You can use MPPS, doesn't matter. (remember to check voltage (under12V) before flashing via mpps).

Hi,

How did you read/write the ecu?
I Just can't get the ecu-read!
I've put the car in gear and kept pusshing the start butten so the ignition doesn't time out and the car goes out to save the battery.
I can id the ecu without problem but i can't do anything else.

open car, insert card in the reader, push start button one time, then push start button 10sec until dashboard light and steering column unlock

Hi sparco,

I tried that procedure, but apparently it was due to the mpps tool I whas using.
Once i had the galletto tool it worked immediately.
Galletto even told me what steps to takr before tuning. Steps for how to keep contact on like you describe above. Thanks for the replies.
