JTD 1.9 85kW

Postby sike_145 » Fri Sep 13, 2013 9:08 pm

Hi again,

I own Alfa Romeo 156SW with 1.9 JTD 85kW engine. This engine have ECU EDC15C7 CF3, and same engine and ECU is also fitted to some other Alfa/Fiat/Lancia models. I would like to have contact with everyone here who successfully (or maybe not) reprogrammed his ECU in this engine to share experience.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I would like to see your original ECU file so I can compare it with mine original ECU file. Also, I would like to know what maps are you modified, where are they (which memory locations) and what is final result of it, like driveability, consumption, exchaust smoke and so on. How long do you drive with modified maps and do you noticed any consequences to flywheel or some other engine components?
Off course, if you like you can share and modified ECU file so I can compare with original and see your work.

My intention is that at first stage I close EGR without any errors in ECU or dashboard; then, I have all winter to do researching my ECU maps and modifying them, so in spring I will put new map to my ECU. I don't want to do it before winter, because I want to see how is my "new" car behaviors in winter with stock ECU maps.

Thanks,
S.

My master will be different from yours. I made small changes and still working on it. Files threw the PM. Consumption does not know, but there is an increase of power. Flywheel replaced on a regular and raised power at higher engine speeds. Throw your firmware prompt addresses that look.

if you want , you can send me your files map and i watch them and i can prepare you a base map mod...
so you can understand where and how much the table must be modify...
then you can try to modify yourself and test it!
i don't want money for this...

Can you tell me? There is a map of air MAF 24*1 75258. The X axis V? and Z is working on 18 ... 683 (966)? But the map Smoke limit 78B5E MAF values from 300 ... 1050. I can not understand how to dock the values MAF 75258 and card 78B5E and others?
You do not have permissions to view the files yet. You have to be registered and you have to make at least 3 quality / unique posts.

Hi to both of you!

I have been analyzing files and data that Deman sent to me and also compare them to my files.
So far I can recognize this maps:

781F4 - Drivers wish 1
793A4 - Drivers wish 2
78A20 - Smoke limiter
77A2C - Boost limiter
777F8 - N75 1
7702A - N75 2
77C1C - Boost pressure 1 (but don't know what x,y and data represents??)
77EC4 - Boost pressure 2 (but don't know what x,y and data represents??)
75736 - Boost limiter vs. temperature (which temperature? air, engine or fuel?)
7827C - IQ limiter..but don't know what x and y represents
71F04 - EGR
72CB2 - IQ limiter based on fuel rail pressure, but not sure if y axis represents RPMs
78596 - IQ limiter based on air temperature (i think)
78312 - this looks like engine starting IQ map based on temperature and RPMs...not sure for this
7872E - Torque limiter (Deman, what is address of this map in Marea files?)

There is also map in 777256 that I found in Marea files, but don't know what is that.

There is another maps that WinOLS recognizes...but for now I'm unable to identify them.

@Fabrissio:
This is my file; if you can also check for map addresses and to identify data in them that I couldn't do:
alfa-romeo-156-sw-1-9jtd-85kw-edc15c7-t3824

@Deman:
Thanks for your help, information was wery helpfull;
