What tool can I use to read this ECU?
My galletto says it can oly write to it :(
I need to read it just one time, then I can write it with galletto.
The car is Citroen Jumpy 2.0 HDi with FAP.

BDM can do the job. You have to know how to connect pins, and which adapter to use.
User manual is good thing to read before burning ECU...

Thanks for the great info!
I don't know where to start with this BDM thing...

I suppose I need a generic BDM programmer and a particular BDM adapter for this ECU.
Will ANY programmer do the job?
I mean it doesn't matter what kind of programmer is as long as it's BDM ?
Do I need some specific software?

The programer uses specific SW.
You need Siemens adapter to read the ECU.
Before you try to read the ECU, find out where is the 12V+ and where is ground line. Some BDM programers have inverted pins and that can cause burning of the ECU. There is a topic on the forum where the 2 types of programeres are shown.

I read that topic, but second picture in russian doesn't make much sense..
Anyway once I'll get this bdm thing I will ask more specific questions.
I found it from HK at 28€
does someone know any cheaper? maybe from EU?

PS. can I read EDC15C2 with BDM too?

China is the supplier of the cheapest tools.

You can not use bdm to read edc15. You can do on bench flashing with flash tool or you can desolder the chip from the ecu to be read with eprom programmer.

May be this

ULTIMA I/O TERMINAL TOOL FOR PEUGEOT CITROEN, VOLVO,FORD ECUS MADE BY SIEMENS
SID801 SID801A SID802 SID803 SID803A SID804 SID806 SID201.

Using this tool you gain full control of these ECU’s memories. You can read-write eeprom, flash memories, read pincode, transfer ecu to “After Sales(virgin)” mode so ECU can be adapted to other car, read-modify service history which contains DATE/MILEAGE/DIADEVID. All operations are done through Kline or CAN bus without need to open ECU.

For Volvo SID803,SID803A ecus you can only read-write eeprom, read-write internal and externals flash memories
