hallo,
i had a engine fault indicator light on my dashboard so i went straight grabbed my laptop and did a diagnostics check witch pp2000.
i found 3 permanent faults all 3 related to egr valve, one showing a misread in the egr butterfly valve true position.
i went to my peugeot dealer and had that egr replaced for a genuine one valeo made. but the surprise came when we did a diagnostics check afterwards, the same 3 egr faults stayed untouched just like the old egr was installed.
so the dealer ordered one more egr valve i had to wait for a week for it to arrive.
when it finally came we again replaced the egr valve with hopes that everything would be fixed now, but surprise again same 3 egr faults persisted.
the dealer then did a acoustic check and visual on the butterfly valve opening and closing operation and couldnt find a fault there, everything worked as it should.
he then checked the butterfly valve position in percentage in pp2000 and he found a 0% displacement of the valve on the software just as if there is no egr valve, we also found that at random very rarely the position of the egr is shown on pp2000 and only for a second and then it goes to zero again.
within this short second the engine fault light on the dashboard comes on and disappears again.
he then checked all the wiring relevant to the egr he pulled out a map of the pins relevant to the egr valve, all connections were fine with resistances very low showing no break in any of the cables.
since we replaced the valve 2 times and all connections were ok, we concluded that something must be wrong with the software.
he checked for an update of the software but couldnt find one on the official peugeot servers with an other application (not pp2000).
so he told me that he couldnt help me because he didnt know how to write to the flash the ecm software otherwise
do you guys have any advice for me with some tuning software this might be fixable
thank you
