just bought an astra g 1.7dti estate and the chap i bought it off said it had been remapped,,question how can you tell if it has been remapped,,just getting into this scene so apologies about the newbie question

Hi, well there is a few things you can do,
1.log the car, this will give you some info about what has been changed(if its a good remap)
2. you need to read the ecu flash and compare with an original file of same version.
3. you need to read the ecu flash and upload on forum someone will take a look at it.

in your case, best thing to do is to upload dump on the forum. I have same engine on my car and i can help you identify if is original or not.

If you feel like she is suffocating in third gear at 80km/h,software is original,If you feel she want to go further in third gear is remaped.Don't need logs or upload file.
